I am Vânia, a Portuguese women living in The Netherlands. I’m empathetic, outgoing and the owner of an inner child full of movement who loves to play and communicate with others. I like to analyze each moment/person/situation, which sometimes leads me to great moments of introspection.
Life makes sense when the present moment is truly lived and experienced in the most diverse ways with all the senses. It is in this moment that we are open to life, to the other human being and, above all, to the rich sharing that comes from this moment (you bring something of someone and the other person takes something of you with them).
My favorite book is "The Women Who Run with the Wolves" by Clarissa Estés. A few years ago I read this book that really struck me, bringing me light and more self-knowledge and empowerment on that particular moment in my life. A book that through legends, folk tales and stories recovers, honors and loves the Wild Woman that lives in every woman, because each of us has a powerful and creative force in her nature, a knowledge that goes beyond what is visible to the naked eye.
My favorite music piece is “Melhor de Mim” of Mariza (Portuguese Fado singer). Simply porque “se renasço a cada momento meu destino será maior. Também eu vou em busca de luz, saio daqui onde a sombra seduz… eu também estou à espera de mim!”, meaning "If I am reborn at every moment, my destiny will be greater. I too am searching for light, leaving behind where the shadow lures... I am also waiting for myself!". Vânia is een collega van mijn partner Christa
